RE:  Students Enrolled in our In-person Option

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

We look forward to welcoming our students back tomorrow.  There is no doubt that this school year will have challenges.  It is our desire to work with you as we strive for a successful school year.  Before we begin, I wanted to provide you with some helpful information.

I would like to encourage you to review the documents provided in the links below.  One of them is a document provided by the Georgia Department of Community Health.  This document encourages you to daily screen your child each morning before school.  The other document is a guide we created to help you decide whether your child should stay at home.

Traditionally on the first day of school, we have allowed parents to walk their children to the classroom.  In an effort to protect our students and staff, we are strongly discouraging this tradition.  However, we know that many of our small children might need this support.  If you believe your child needs this support, we are going to request that you remain in your car and allow us to call you in after we have taken in our bus riders and drop-offs.  There will be staff members on site in front of the building to take your name and phone number.

As we go through the next few days, I want you to feel free to reach out to your child’s school if you have questions or concerns.  Also, I wanted to provide you with additional contacts listed below.  As always, you are welcome to reach out to me.

Bus or Facility Concerns:  Rodney Wainwright, Director of Support Services

Instructional Concerns:  Jenny Gibbo, Director of Teaching and Learning

Student Support Concerns:  Latonja Turner, Director of Federal Programs
