Congratulations to Mr. Cayden Coleman who has recently been selected as the CTAE Student of the Year for 2023-2024. Cayden is a junior at Taylor County High School and completed a rigorous process to be selected. He was nominated by his Audio, Video, Technology and Film teacher, Ms. Madison Sloan.
Each February, Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) month is held to bring public awareness to the value of CTAE and the achievements of CTAE students. Every February, Taylor County High School celebrates CTAE month, and one of our celebratory activities is the CTAE Student of the Year competition. CTAE teachers nominate their top student candidate in our various CTAE pathways; teacher nominations are based on pathway specific criteria. Nominated students who wish to become candiates for CTAE Student of the Year must complete an application, create a career portfolio and participate in an interview process.
