Taylor County FFA Team Competes in Area Floriculture Career Development Event

The Taylor County FFA Floriculture Team recently competed in the Area 3 FFA Floriculture Career Development Event.  The event was held at Camp John Hope in Fort Valley on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Team members Andy Peek, Jolyn New, Kayle Wainwright, and Hannah Ingram identified floriculture and bedding plant materials and identified ways to treat unhealthy plants due to pests, nutritional, mechanical or chemical injuries.    

FFA is a national organization of over 600,000 members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture.  FFA is an integral part of the agricultural education program in public schools.  The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
