The Taylor County High School JROTC Color Guard was honored to participate in Taylor County’s 9/11 Memorial Service today, representing our school and community with pride and respect.
We are especially grateful to our Senior JROTC Instructor, LTC John McLeod Jr., who served as the guest speaker and shared his remarkable experience of September 11, 2001. His story was a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and unity that defined that day and the days that followed.
We also continue to honor and be grateful for all those who serve our communities and our country today—those who protect, respond, serve, and sacrifice for others each day.
Thank you to everyone who helped make today’s memorial meaningful. We are grateful to remember together as a community and to honor all those whose lives were forever changed.

The District has been made aware of rumors regarding a possible threat to our schools. Law enforcement has been notified. At this time, we have no information indicating that there is a credible threat to our schools. We are continuing to investigate and monitor the situation in coordination with local law enforcement. As always, the safety and security of our students and staff remain our top priority.
